What Is A Cut Path? Usually designed in Abobe Illustrator, a cut path is a vectored shape that is copied to a
separate layer named “Cut Path.” It is used for the router/plotter to know where to cut your graphics. 

Bleed Needed: You should always add .25" of bleed around the entire design to give enough room for the router/plotter to cut the design without tracking outside the color and/or area.

For instance, if you have an 11" x 11" die-cut graphic, the size needs to be 11.50" x 11.50' after you add the bleed. However, the cut path will still be around the inside area of 11" x 11".

For full coverage window graphics or any time you want the graphics to go edge to edge, bleed is usually needed for installation purposes. It is extra coverage around your graphics that extends beyond the face measurement of the window. If properly factored, bleed will allow the graphics to cover the entire window from edge to edge and take into account uneven windows, human error in the trimming process, etc. 

Please note, bleed does not magically appear and we cannot add bleed to final designs that you submit. You must start the design process with bleed in mind as adding it after the fact could cause you to lose precious time.
